Being told to use my personal phone for work calls—is this normal?

Apologies if a similar question has been asked before. At my job, I have a landline at my desk that is used to field calls from potential clients. However, I work from home for a bit every week, and during this time I have been told by my boss to make calls reaching out to potential clients with my personal phone, leaving my personal phone number as a callback on answering machines, etc. This feels odd to me, since I worry about my privacy and there’s almost always someone in the office I can forward the landline phone to when I’m working from home. Is this normal?
