In December, we were tasked with decorating our housekeeping room doors (janitorial at a nursing home) as part of a contest the health region was having “to boost morale”. We had to decorate the doors on our own time, using our own resources.
Almost three months later, there are some half-stale carrot muffins in the housekeeping room with a post-it from our boss saying “Muffins for xmas door decorating. Sorry so late, didn't know I was supposed to get them.”
…Maybe if management was useful and on the ball once in a while, we might actually HAVE morale.
