Ill try to make this short, my fiancé works for a certain hospital in Missouri. When she signed on a year ago it was stipulated that there would be a bonus that would be paid out incrementally over a year period. Halfway through she took more hours and went from PRN to fulltime, same position increased workflow. When her bonus was to be finally paid out nothing was received, when brought up to HR their response was ” you changed positions therefore it invalidated your previous contract” i.e no bonus period.
She's devastated, she busts her ass at her job. I've watched her go to work sick, she's gone to work when family members fall seriously ill, she's done everything she can for this job and the one chance they had to rob her and they do it.
I'm at a loss what to do for her, I feel terrible but I'd love to find her some relief. Is this actually a thing, is there any recourse for us? Thanks fam, y'all have a great day.
