Boss and lead surprised I resigned

I've worked at my job for 6 months and just put in my resignation. My pay is 30k more than what most people in my area get paid. On the first day, I knew I would hate it because of my team lead who basically runs the department. 3 people left within 3 months because of her and my boss still thinks she's not the problem. She micromanages, looks down on people, contradicts herself with team projects (telling us what to do then later saying that she didn't say it), and always trying to identify our mistakes to make it as a big issue. For my field, we are recommended to get a certificate, but we need our boss to sign it off so we can sit for the exam. My team lead said that my 3rd coworker and I aren't ready and she wouldn't allow my boss to sign us off. My 3rd coworker and I both complained to my boss in the beginning, and he said that my lead coworker just cares about us. Yesterday, I put in my 2 weeks notice and my boss was so shocked. My lead coworker was also shocked because she thought that I was one of the best and most reliable workers she has ever worked with. Tbh, my 3rd coworker has been silently quitting and doing things super slow, so my lead coworker hates her so much. I didn't even say anything bad about my lead coworker to my boss because he always back her up. Many people from different departments have reported her, and he backed her up. My field is small, so I thought it's best to leave quietly and lied that I had to leave for a personal surgery (which I'm actually getting cosmetic surgery). LOL. Anyway, I'm sick of these leaders and lead who act shocked when people leave when they're so toxic .
