Antiwork

I’m surprised malicious compliance isn’t discussed more often on here.

I’ve been in a profession for twenty years. When I started we were not union and the job was considered for “kids”. We decided to unionize and part of the process were days we would call compliance days. Follow every rule to a t. The company attempted to say we were organizing slowdowns and threaten legal action, but every time it came out they couldn’t point to anything particular that was slowing the work down other than their own rules. I’ve been a part of a union for 17 years now and it’s completely changed my life. I don’t agree with the politics of our union, but no one can deny that we as a work force are not better off.
