Tldr: boss changed my schedule from 2 days to 5 and im in a different state because I was supposed to be off those days.
So for info, I have certain health issues that limit what my body can do on a daily basis. I set it up with my manager to only be working 4-5 hr days (this is a coffee shop) and about 4-5 days a week. So about 20 hours a week. Well I'm constantly scheduled for 6-8hr shifts a 3hr thrown somewhere in there and that's about it. I had this weekend off (I'm in the car typing this) and im going to visit my grandmother in her elder home for her birthday. She lives a state away and the boss sent out a message in the group chat that she has changed next weeks schedule, so I went from working 2 days, to her adding an extra 3 shifts because someone “left abruptly” how do I tell her that I'm not going to be coming in for those days so I can be with my grandma? She gave a 24hr notice which tbh is not a lot as she often posts the schedule whenever she feels. What do I tell her?
