So I work 2 days a week, Saturday and Sunday, at a store on top of my full time job. This weekend, our store manager got pizza for my department because we had the top sales in our region for a particular product. We were all called to the break room for the “pizza party” that lasted about 20 minutes. We were never told to clock out or anything.
Fast forward to the end of my shift, I was clocking out and checked my hours worked for the day. I noticed it was 30 minutes lower than I expected. Upon further inspection, I saw that 30 minutes were taken out for the pizza party.
To make it more annoying, I took a 30 minute lunch break on top of the pizza party because I didn’t know that the pizza party was counted as a break.
I know it’s only 30 minutes, but I feel like we should have been told to take the pizza party as our breaks instead of having the time taken away.
Just needed to rant and get some opinions. Thank you!!
TL;DR: Job threw a pizza party for my department, boss took 30 minutes off my shift without my knowledge.
