Boss forcing me to take day off because business is slow

As the title says, this is the second week in a row my boss has forced me to take Tuesday off without pay because the shop is slow. I told him last week that he needs to figure something out, because I agreed to monday-Friday at an agreed salary and now I am making less because of his decision. Am I able to claim unemployment for these missing hours? I have another job lined up so I don’t mind burning any bridges but what he is doing is wrong, and he should have to face some sort of repercussions. Located in NYC if that makes a difference. Thanks
