Well, guys. This is it. I don’t even know what to say. I’ve spent the last 12 years building relations and trust in my accounts and just like that it’s over.
At the start of the pandemic my company panicked and let go of all the non essential employees. This proved to be a mistake as we were unaffected by COVID restrictions, in fact business is booming.
This created a massive strain on the employees that were left. 1 by 1 everyone started to leave, a team of 18 down to 8. We put our heads down and got it done. With the promise that help is coming.
Manager leaves, which was a huge blow for us, this resulted in us losing 3 more people.
Down to 4 people now( someone’s having heart surgery…). We are exhausted, frustrated and overwhelmed with stress.
So now they’ve come up with a new plan, pay some tech company to create an algorithm to write and route the schedule. And it’s as bad as you would expect. Eliminating local routing, increasing travel time and expenses with no increase in wage.
We have shared our concerns and protested to no avail. “ this is the new direction we’re going, sorry if it doesn’t work for you” .
I think this is it for me. Just what the hell man. Why am I being put in this situation. I worked hard, I put my head down. I had 30 hours of ot last week. Just for me to become a name and number on a computer program.
