Boss gave me a job without properly notifying me. Then took it back without notifying me.

I was hired and given a schedule by a previous employer. Then I heard indirectly though a coworker they don’t want us working for her. The manager never told me anything and I’ve been trying to reach them about it but get left on read. If I have receipts, what can I do?
