Boss just tried to tell us we’re moving away from 4 10s Monday-Thursday to a shifting schedule, 3 12s, then 4 12s, and will lose every other weekend; but “they’re doing it across the country, and everybody loves it thanks to “all the extra time off.””

I told them 6 months ago, I will go to the night shift, but that will result in me only being able to work OT on Sunday 99 times out of 100. I have commitments helping run the club on Friday and Saturday nights. Lucky for me, I work with a bunch of stubborn assholes that are also putting up a resistance; and have been exploring other possibilities for a week or 2. We told them since everyone loves it, it’s not fair that management has to stay on 5 8s so we’ll expect them to be here with us since everyone loves it. They didn’t love that.
