This happened decades ago but it still infuriates me.
I used to work overnights for lockdown facility for teens with severe mental health issues. Two years prior to this I received my BA In Psychology.
A entry level position for a case manager for the company came open and i went to my boss’s office (who would have been my interviewer for the position) to give my resume.
When I gave my resume to her, she looked at it and laughed while she crumpled up my resume. She threw my resume in the trash as she said, “Do you know how hard it is to find a reliable person for overnights?”
She then told me to leave her office and “quit wasting her time.”
I looked for a different job immediately after that and found a better job about a month later.
