My boss fired our administrative assistant. I started at the company as administrative assistant, so I knew I’d be looked at to help out until he hires someone. My current position is commission based and flexible, so I was happy to help with this hourly position temporarily in addition to my full time position. It’s 20 hours a week.
He offered me FOUR DOLLARS less per hour than the person he let go. Mind you, I trained the person who trained her. I need no training, am overqualified and have more education than this position requires.
I was baffled and honestly insulted. I’m doing this to help the team. Four dollars less.
