I am actively looking for a new job because my boss (owner of the company) is awful (to say the least). In the meantime I want to make sure I’m not being taken advantage of. The scoop is I’m an hourly employee and help with National sales for a small company. Sometimes I have to travel and when I do I generally go over 40 hours in a week. I was ignorant of OT when I started and when the checks came in with time and half it was a pleasant surprise. Now my boss doesn’t want to pay overtime. But after doing some research I think it’s illegal for her ti not pay OT. Please help…
