Boss refuses to pay me my last months wagers of $10,000 because I’m leaving the company before a year.

I’m a medical professional. Yes, I’m breaking a contract that said I would stay for a year. However, in the contract it says the penalties for breaking the contract would include “the cost of a white coat, prescription pads, business cards and other potential financial penalties”. I turned in my two weeks yesterday, and my boss (the Doctor) is saying I won’t be paid on the 15th as it is include in the “other penalties” that the contract mentions.

I’ve worked here for 6 months.

If I’m not getting paid for last months work, I highly doubt I’ll get paid for the two weeks notice I just put in. So, if I continue to work, it will be 6 weeks without pay, or 10-12K.

Edit: this is in Florida
