I have been working my job for over a year and have been told it is my lack of leadership ability having issues working with a coworker who talks badly of me within earshot and has abused her power when I went for a promotion to make sure I didn’t get it. My new boss who took that promotion has his own issues.
It all hit the fan when I heard her calling me incompetent to other coworkers after I covered her shift for 2 weeks on top of mine. I was done not saying anything to be a “better leader” and told them I am being harassed and need something done for me to be comfortable at work.
My boss then said he would go to HR and see what next steps are. We had a meeting today to discuss our issues and I was continually cut off and told I was being “too heated” when stating facts. He said he didn’t want any of this not being confidential and he didn’t want any of it going to HR. So I insisted I wasn’t comfortable without an HR representative and a report made. He became upset and I left.
Here’s the thing: I recorded it all. Him saying he wanted it to be hidden from HR everything and went to his boss’ boss to tell him I needed HR and for this to be taken seriously.
What do I do now?
