TLDR: Boss was supposed to give me a raise, didn't give me it for a month, then still doesn't give me a raise after being promised, put in my two weeks.
So on May 10, i had my review for my now ex-employer. to which i was promised a raise, verbally and via work email, up to $13.50 from $11.50
About a month goes by and I put in my two weeks last Friday. And then my boss asked for a private meeting where i explained why i was leaving.
Essentially she told me was she will take consideration of what i said, but that she's not gonna change. She also told me i should take seminars and web classes to learn how to not react with feelings bc feelings shouldn't be in the workplace. When i told her that everyone who's left has said the same thing. She pretty much gaslit me and told me but that's just how i feel and not really how everyone feels
But she also asked if i could stay until the 17th. She also told me it's proper to leave after the two weeks bc if i leave before then it's like a “fuck you” to them
So i didn't go back and went to my new job.
Well this Friday came and I went to get my check, to backtrack- I was promised via work email that this check was going to be my $13.50/hr check plus retro pay – and it was still at $11.50/hr
Sadly she deleted my work email the day i put in my two weeks so i have no access to the emails, (which i now know to always forward work emails to my personal account.) So all my proof is gone.
So im fucked over $320 bucks -if not more bc i may have done my math wrong.
