So I work a campus job and we have to submit our hours every two weeks. I’m usually pretty diligent about it but sometimes such as when I don’t have internet access (I go home some weekends where I don’t have internet), I can’t turn in my hours. I fill in the sheet and everything for late turn in of hours after the fact and for my past campus jobs it’s never been an issue.
Last week my great grandma died and I was very close with her. I called off the two days I worked, so I assumed I didn’t need to put in the hours since I had none to submit in the first place. My supervisor said it was totally fine to miss work so I just left it at that.
Now I just got an email saying if I miss inputting my hours one more time I’ll be fired. This job on campus is notorious for threatening to fire people for the most random things, but I’ve stuck with it since the pay is decent. I might have just got automatically flagged in the system, but it’s still frustrating nonetheless. I’m panicking because I don’t know what to do or say.
