One of my co-workers was chewing nicotine gum, because she’s a former smoker, and my boss was telling me “it’s co-worker’s strike two because nicotine gum is a stimulant.” I was a little taken aback with her reaction to it since there are a lot of smokers in the restaurant industry and told her it shouldn’t be a big deal as long as she’s not chewing gum during service hours. Is my boss overreacting a little here or am I being too laidback?
