Boss told us no one’s getting a raise, then gave himself a raise.

Started this tech job a year ago, when I joined I was told I was extremely overqualified, over educated, and was working every weekend for “extra pay.” I really believed in the company's mission and I liked what I was doing so I kept at it as hard as I could. Then about six months ago my manager kicked me off my job without explanation (my performance was better than his and he was getting asked some difficult questions), and shafted to a corner of the office. I thought no worries, I'll keep working and I'll be recognized eventually. Fast forward to about a month ago and we get our salary meetings. Then we get an email today that just straight up says a bunch of the higher ups gave themselves raises and then promoted a bunch of people at the bottom of the ladder. I feel pretty naïve now, but my trust is broken.

Let's see how far their “unlimited sick days” goes.
