Boss took kitchen renovations out of my sales bonus

For context I am the General Manager of a fairly prominent rooftop bar in this city. The owner of said bar has set sales targets to hit each month. Now while not entirely impossible to reach he has set these targets quite high and I find myself utilizing partnerships, promotions with suppliers and side deals with suppliers just to try and reach these targets with my own bonus in mind. If I am within the target I am awarded the bonus at the end of the year. Before I came along the kitchen was not in use. We were lacking supplies/staff/logistics. Now while not entirely impossible to reach he has set these targets quite high and I find myself utilizing partnerships, promotions with suppliers and side deals with suppliers just to try and reach these targets with my own bonus in mind. Before I came along the kitchen was not in use. We were lacking supplies/staff/logistics. During this time while needing the kitchen the owner also decided to shell out a bunch of money on arcade machines, neon signs and other things that didn't really generate revenue but yet also affected my bonus.

We finally buckled down and on a really good month shelled out for some kitchen supplies and can now say we have a fully functional kitchen. The month he decided to do this he knew I was well within my target bonus yet added the total of all the kitchen equipment out of the monthly report which then in turn denies me a bonus for that month (and other months previous with the arcade machines as the costs were now astronomically higher).

For further context, we never had a kitchen/arcade for even up to 1 year before I joined and the previous GM's got away with hardly any costs those months and in return hit their bonuses. I simply was the one to give it the push in that direction and take charge of that aspect.

He gets hard assets, I get the shaft.

Am I just overthinking this?
