We have PTO request deadlines every month for 2 months ahead schedule (i.e March PTO deadline is in Mid January) Anything after the deadline is my responsibility to find personal coverage. I would like to note that I rarely request PTO days for my job. I have worked there for 3 years and have called off one time. I have a Friday wedding I am a bridesmaid in May and my Sister’s College graduation that I requested before the PTO deadline. My boss emailed me today saying they have a lot of PTO requests for those days and I might need to find my own coverage. Guess I will be calling off twice.
What is the point of accruing PTO if I am shamed for trying to use it.
