So without giving away too much detail, I'm an office worker, been so my whole life. Our plant is having a “worker shortage” and while they try to find people, they want us to “volunteer” there.
I did so once to be nice, but then they hit me with “things are dire, we need people to be there full time going into next year.” This happens right during the holidays, and i wouldnt be allowed to have any days off. I straight up said no, but they hinted they'll start “volunteering” people if they have to.
I said I was fine with once before, but doing this is not what I was hired to do. We will see what happens tomorrow with what I told them, I might need to brush off my resume if it gets to that.
So how was everyone else's day? Anyone have similar stories like this?
