I work remote for a company and connect to their offices through my computer to access all my work files. A few days ago a power inturuption happened in their offices that made it so I couldnt work during my usual work hours. Now the few times that has happened in the past I would NOT have to make up those missing hours and still get paid.
Now out of the blue HR sends a message saying we have to make up those missing hours in the next week or over the weekend.
I feel like since I am not the one unavailible to work that this shouldnt be the case. I had to stay home close to ky computer and check my mail/teams constantly you know.
So is this legit should I spend 6 hours this weekend working?
