Basically what the title says. My grandpa died while I was at work today and I left early to visit him at the hospital. Spoke with my boss about bereavement leave and because I’m not considered a full-time employee, I get nothing and would have to come to work despite everything. I work there 11-6 every day a week, because I get no benefits and I’m not salaried I don’t have rights and treatment like a human being. Boss keeps on guilt-tripping me because we’re short-staffed that he needs me to work through my grieving period. Fuck this place.
