So a lot of people have been calling out sick this flu season. My boss has gotten fed up by this and said if anyone calls out too much she's going to talk to them about “adjusting their schedule.”
Anyway. I have a coworker, let's call her A, who has severe anxiety and has been calling out because of it. Today, A texted my boss that she wouldn't be able to come to work because of said anxiety, but my boss told her she has to come in since she's already missed so many days.
Two hours into A's shift, someone came in asking for help saying my boss is going to take A to the hospital because she was having a severe panic attack.
My boss knows about A's struggle with mental health. A has worked here for over 3 years and taken multiple leave of absences for mental health reasons. I don't understand how shitty a person has to be to put someone in this situation.
