So during a meeting today, the company owner made a point saying that HR has been trying to get us to fill out our health insurance paperwork but some of us haven't done it yet so he said: “for the people who haven't done it yet, we will disable your account so you can't clock in tomorrow until we get the paperwork and you don't want to clock in late so get it done today”
The paperwork has already been confusing cause there is several forms to do and we have no way to know who's done it all and who has paperwork to do. My main issue is: is this legal? I feel like not letting your employees clock in and give them possible disciplinary issues for being “late” sounds dubious at best.
Anyone know the legality of it?
