On a normal work day, all employees clock out for an hour for their lunch breaks. But sometimes, my bosses will order or make lunch for us. This usually happens when it’s someone’s birthday or a holiday. It’s nice of them to provide lunch, but the problem is that they make us clock out for the duration of the lunch, which almost always goes over the normal hour. On Friday we had our Christmas lunch and it ended up being an hour and 40 minutes. Most of the other employees don’t seem to mind but it bothers me. That’s 40 minutes of pay that I’m missing out on. I want to say something but I don’t want to come off as a jerk.
