So a few months ago, I had taken sick leave due to family emergency. This second boss (who has no idea I’m on leave) texts me while I’m in the hospital & reminds me about this upcoming Zoom meeting in a few minutes. I reply saying I was in the hospital due to a family emergency. Almost immediately, I get a reply from him asking me to join the meeting “as soon as possible”. Zero empathy. Zero understanding. Inconsiderate AF.
That’s the day I decided I couldn’t work for such lowlifes anymore & quit. I’ve never been more relieved!
