At my old job if you called in it was an automatic write up and write ups lasted an entire year to be removed, despite having 96 hours of PTO, which will be taken away regardless. There’s no sick time. You would be punished for missing even though they take your PTO. You can’t sign up for any promotions for and entire year until your write up is removed, if you have a write up they would just tell you no to your face.
