Last night I texted my boss letting him know (with a 12 hour notice) that I would be taking a “mental health day”. He usually ALWAYS texts back “okay” or at least gives a thumbs up emoji , but I did not receive anything back… it was odd, but me & him have been butting heads as of recent, so I shrugged it off.
Almost a full 24 hours later he sends this text out of the blue…
How the fuck do I respond?! The only one I feel is being unprofessional here is him… the boss/owner/manager and superior of this company. He also did not inform me of the “ways in which to call out of work in a professional manner”, which was the entire unnecessary point of his unnecessary text.
What do you all think? What would you say?
