Can a campus job force me to come in?

Let me start with some background: I’m a financially independent student (I had a full time job for a year and a half before I went back to get a degree; no parents in picture). If I keep my GPA very high, I get to keep my scholarship AND potentially get more merit money (less debt). I’m taking max credits, with severe ADHD and no meds. Long story short, I put in a LOT more behind-the-scene effort than some students. I’ve been working on campus since September, every week at the same job (they still haven’t paid me in full for September, but that’s another issue). Last week, after Thanksgiving break, the day that they reopened, I sent my manager a message. I said I should be fine to work for the upcoming week but not the next week, when finals are due. I’m doing all project-based assignments. My boss said that was fine and they close on the week I couldn’t work anyway. It’s been a few days since. A professor just changed my final assignment so that it’s due 12/09 instead of 12/14, and I need the weekend to complete to project, so I can finish my other four. I texted my manager, because it’s the only way to get in contact, and they never responded. Then I got an email, addressed to all staff, saying that if we want to keep our jobs for next semester we have to work preferably regular shifts (nine and a half hours) or at least four hours at another designated place on campus. I told her that I simply cannot finish what I need to do, and that I’m a good worker and want to stay on, but the notice was too short and I have planned group assignment meetings. She said it’s not an unreasonable ask and “Finals don't happen on the weekends. I do need you to do your best to get on the schedule like everyone else is required to do.” I’m at a loss. I need a job, but I don’t like how she’s treating me. Shouldn’t she have at least have told me when I was onboarded about this requirement? Or when I texted last week? I’m at a loss about what to say or do. I’m not ready to sacrifice my well-being for a campus job. Am I being a little bitch about this?
