can employers deduct a bonus that was promised if you showed up late with prior confirmation with managers?

so I was recruited for a seasonal position at a company, and this week is our busiest week and we were all promised bonuses of an extra $3/hour for this week. now, i couldn't get a ride for one of my shifts two days ago and had confirmed that i would need to come in an hour later than scheduled with a manager a week ago, who had written it on the schedule. a new schedule was released because everyone kept changing their availability (keep in mind i only changed that day for the bonus period and did so a week ahead), and i saw that the new schedule had me at the original time and did not reflect the change i confirmed with the manager a week ago. i am now being denied my bonus because i didn't work my scheduled hours, and also picking up shifts does not…
