Posting for my boyfriend who is a line cook for a college club restaurant. He has been trying to get one day off (this upcoming Tuesday) for two weeks and kept getting excuses from his superior. Today he asked again and the superior said no because there wasn’t enough notice (even though he was asking the last two weeks and the superior said talk to me later so I know the schedule better etc etc). He also adds that he MAY need him on Monday (his weekends are Sunday Monday) but he won’t know until Monday rolls around. My boyfriend says he’s going to be out of town for his weekend and can’t come in Monday if he isn’t scheduled and his superior got mad at him. Now we may have to cancel our vacation to visit my new baby niece a few hours drive away because of this. Does anyone know what he can do or if it’s even allowed?
