Recently at work I was written up because a newer coworker complained about me to the new boss. The coworker and I just don’t mix well, and they had a bad day and lashed out. The meeting to deliver the write up didn’t go very well and I learned that after the meeting the boss asked several of my supervisors if they could think of any incidents with me from the past so that my boss could retroactively create a file on me. My supervisors refused, but I have no way to know if my boss is going to try anything else.
Is it legal for my boss to even ask that of my supervisors?
