Can someone explain to me what is the point of putting out job offers that straight up insult any new hire and/current employees?

You know the ones that pretty much say if you were born before 1985 don't apply here because you are all lazy and entitled etc etc. People regularly use such offers as their own personal TED talk but not only is it insulting but it is also condescending. As well as counterproductive because how likely is that you can keep a business going with only employees that are at best 45+?
