Ive been on the job search for about 4 months now. Ive lost count of the number of applications and interviews so far. Ive been looking for pretty much anything that will give me a paycheck. Min wage jobs but not only those.
I have been offered a job 3 separate times so far and all of them have just stopped communicating days after “your hired”.
The first one gave me a start date a month after the interview so i stopped my job search, waited, showed up, was told i wasn't on the schedule for that day, sent home and they said they would call me. They never called. I reached out to them numerous times and accomplished nothing by doing so, just stonewalled.
The second one said they would have a position for me in a week or 2, and if i hadn't heard back by then, then to call and they would get something worked out. I called 2 weeks later and was treated like i was an asshole for even bothering them about it. Ofcourse they said they would call when there was an opening. Ofcourse they havent called.
Third one this week, interviewed wednesday, was told to expect a call thursday at 2pm to schedule my training day, never got a call so i called them, was told that theyre just “waiting on the chefs availability”(restaraunt). Still havent gotten a call today, doubt ill get one tomorrow, or the next day.
What the fuck is going on with this? All of these situations resulted in me putting my job search on hold thinking i had a job that i never had to begin with. All monumental wastes of time. Im tired. Im running out of money. I feel hopeless. I feel disrespected. Im fucking angry. I just dont even know how to feel about it really. If i were in their shoes i wouldn't string along some guy thats currently unemployed and barely making it. I just cant fucking relate at all. Its such a shitty thing to do to someone. And for what reason?? Are they just afraid to tell somebody no? So they lie? Has anyone else experienced this bullshit??
