Asked to go home around 1 because I just kept jumping up and down to go to the bathroom. I couldn’t eat and I was exhausted. Boss got me out early after I waited for everyone to take breaks (we are short staffed by four people in one of the busiest clinics in my area. I work front desk/call room.)
Inform my boss I was diagnosed with a stomach flu and UTI and as long as I was doing better this morning I would come in. Well, I wasn’t. I started running a fever overnight and was up the entire night sick. So I text my boss and told her I don’t think I’d be able to come in especially with the fever, so I was calling out for today. She tells me that a text isn’t good enough and I’d have to call her cell phone. Did I mention she also said if I feel better later today that I could come in? I slept four hours and was up all night vomiting, yeah sure I want to come in.
