Context : I initially applied and interviewed for an e-commerce, logistics hybrid position which actually happened to be a warehouse labor job. One red flag.
What was supposed to be a simple going-around/orientation was actually me already working and without signing any onboarding papers. Another huge red flag. Mind you my first interview was Thursday at 4pm and was very rushed, he wanted to meet me the next day.
We initially agreed on 25h max a week but face to face he wanted full time. 2# red flag
Two of the long term employees (4 years) warned me of the role and the CEO, and that they were quitting, one being on their last day Friday, yesterday. The role needs realistically 3-4 people to handle all operations smoothly so me being alone, without training was a 3# red flag. The CEO mentioned wanting talent but I realize he just wanted a robot lol, and there would be no way I could possibly do all in just 25hr. I was looking at 50hr a week realistically. 4# red flag.
Warehouse full of OSHA violations that I reported. After pointing out the why and how and refusing the position, he started to get snarky at me, implying I was weak. Afraid of work.
