Just got a unicorn job offer. Was going over the onboarding paperwork and discovered they do a credit check as part of their background check, because of course they do.
My credit is garbage. Student loans and car payments: on time and never been late. 13 medical debts in collections though. And before you say 'why didn't you work with them' I tried to, but they wanted a crazy high payment my unemployed butt couldn't afford. The medical care was for my infant son, born at the height of the pandemic in 2020, he spent 3 months in the nicu.
Job is basically collections, so I guess its financial, but frankly its none of their damn business why I have debts. The job is a unicorn because its wfh 4 days a week with excellent benefits which is almost impossible to find where I live. In Ohio, your expected to work 60 hours a week in a sweat shop for a hot dog and a handshake and you better be damn thankful too little miss!
🫡 good by 🦄 I hate the US.
