Myself and 3 colleagues are stationed at an ‘important client’ in day shift mo-fri.
Been like that for years.
Client now demands 24/7 support if something happens and behind our backs its apparently already discussed with our manager and union.
I never signed up for this neither my other colleagues except the oldest one who thinks its ‘normal’ to provide good service even working 12hr shifts, extra weekends.
My wife works in 5 shift and weekends, holidays. We have 3 kids with their hobbies etc…
This is impossible. Can my employer just do this ? I’m in Belgium. The unions don’t give a damn, they just sit on their desks 2 days a week on appointment.
All that matters apparently is how many hours they can charge.
