I work in retail where it's pretty slow moving and there's only one person working at the shop. I've come in before with the shelves messy when I open and don't say anything. Yet when my coworkers open and it's slightly messy because someone messed it up minutes before closing and I'm not paid enough to stay the extra minute and fixed it, they made such a big deal on the GC about it (didn't @ me but the passive aggressive message is there)
And the newer person took a photo the next day and was like thanks for tidying it up (from when I left it two days before) being such boot lickers fixing something that's so minor and wanting to make themselves look good about clothes hung up slightly off. Ok I did look at the before and after pics and I did leave it kinda messy but was there a need for the whole damn message with pictures to make yourself feel better?
All of this for minimum wage retail too? Like did he pick you? Also to add, perhaps my coworkers also resent how I have the most experience so I get first pick with schedules, a favourite among higher management and my doctor's note lets me sit when I want.
Is your life so sad you make a big deal about fixing the shop when you open? it's a small shop and a few tweaks and moving things isn't worthy a post calling your coworkers to clean something up in the few minutes. the minutes sending that message can be used fixing what I left before someone was an asshole and came in the shop with their messy fingers.
I can't believe the lengths people a minimum wage job will do to create drama amongst themselves.
