For context, I work in a recruiting agency. We have quotas of filling candidates daily, as well as margin monthly. We do coaching (basically like a rundown of how I did) every 2 weeks for the past 2 years. I've had ups and downs but every time, my manager would always ask me what my action plan is about my stats. Now company policy is, if I had failed the last 2 months meeting the goal, I get endorsed to PIP (performance improvement plan).
I don't understand. We've been doing the same thing since I started the last 2 years. If my strategies are not working anymore, isn't it her time to step in and tell me what to do? Or tell me what to try? Talking to her or showing the numbers why they don't work is pointless because SOME can meet the goal. “If they can do it, so can you.” I have watched what they do and they don't work for me because tenure in recruiting means you have more candidates “saved up” and as soon as jobs open, it's closed. Yes, it's a game of speed. So my understanding is, I'm just too slow for this job.
I don't know if this is the right sub, but I'm thinking it's not working for me anymore. I now put in more hours than I had to, and sometimes even the weekends. Should I just quit and find something more of my pace?
