Companies force parents to separate from their newborn children.

This is still so crazy to me, and and it feels dystopian to even write it. You work through the pregnancy, go through labour, and are forced to hand over your newborn child in order to return to work within weeks of having a baby (or months depending where you live). If you say no, you’re fired. And the worst part? You have to pay another company for the privilege of handing over your baby in order to appease your own company and return to work. It’s twisted.
