For context, I’m an environmental engineer/specialist. I work in water treatment, watershed protection, and compliance. (In the field, so it does pay less than the lead engineers)
I have 3 years experience, and 3 state licenses.
This is the second outright rejection I’ve received with the reason stating my salary requirement of at least $65k is too high.
They indicated they couldn’t come reasonably close, so just how bad is the pay really??
I just had an interview with Panda Express as a regional manager. It was paying even more than $65k.
Wtf is going on? How has it gotten so bad that middle positions in engineering pay less than fast food restaurants??
