(This is mostly venting)
I hate this fucking bullshit. So about a week ago I decided to fire off some applications because I'm deeply unhappy at my current workplace. About an hour later a recruiter contacted me, hot and excited. So we met the next day. They were commissioned to find a suitable employee for some company, and apparently I fit the bill.
We had a great talk, truly super. He was a really nice guy and he'd inform the client that he'd found the perfect match. He said they'd probably respond later the same day or very latest the next monday (this was a friday).
Oh yeah, so stoked!
Then nothing. No feedback, no nothing. Just a fucking dialtone. I was like, what the hell happened? Tried calling the recruiter. Voicemail. Okay, what the hell? Well maybe he got sick or whatever. A week had passed.
Today I tried again. Left a message wondering what was going on. Nothing.
Now I get an email where he apologizes profusely but the client had found someone on their own. SO WHY THE FUCK DID YOU COMMISSION A RECRUITER? These fuckers just wasted my time and the recruiters instead.
Such bullshit.
(And for the record, this is not in the USA.)
