Hi everyone,
My wife, who works at a small foodservice business came home to tell me this doosey today. Reaching out for what someone would even do in this scenario.
So she found out that her, and all other female managers were working doubles today, figuring the rest of the managers, all male, were out busy doing whatever it is they were busy with. For context there are 6 managers total, three male three female.
She comes to find out that everyone was working OT today because the owner of the business had paid to send the three male managers to a NFL game! There had been 0 communication and it must have been all done privately. I couldn't believe what I had heard. I would have had an ounce of understanding if there had been incentives given to everyone in some regard but this whole thing seemed to have been done deliberately trying to exclude the female staff.
Is there anything she should do other than bring down some hell in the office? Is there anything she can do regarding some blatant compensation discrimination?
