I really hope I don’t sound completely daft when I say this, but I’m more than ready to admit that I’ve probably been a bit silly by the end of it, but I recently started my first job not too long ago at a nursery and I have received my first contract. When applying for the job, certain qualifications where preferred but where not needed. I left high school with hardly anything behind me, so to secure this job was such a blessing, but if I’m reading my contract correctly, I am now being asked to complete a course to a national higher level. I never wanted to go back to a college setting, so this has been quite the shock as it has never been mentioned before. I also noticed that the advertising pay of £9.75 has been taken down to £9.50. I’m not all that bothered about the money, I just feel a bit lied too. I apologise if I am just being clueless, this is again my first job and I have no idea what I’m doing truthfully.
