I am a freelancer but works exclusively for a company that uses Hubstaff. I have no benefits. I am a fast worker and can finish all my tasks in just a few hours. I let the timer run so I would have a lot of idle time.
My outputs are of good quality. I submit on time. Revisions are quick. I get the job done.
The company doesn’t directly call me out when I have a lot of idle time. But they did update the Hubstaff timer. All idle time gets discarded.
So. I finished my tasks for the day already but I have 4 hours left where I have to pretend to type and be busy. It feels like a punishment for being efficient.
Pay is mediocre. I have no benefits such as HMO and insurance. I don’t even have a contract.
