I don't mean they won't pay overtime, I mean they just won't pay period.
I've only been here for a couple of months now but when I was first interviewed I was told that we could work overtime and that will be converted to pto.
Fine, not ideal but I was desperate for a job and this paid more then some retail gig.
After a particularly busy two weeks where I put in 10 extra hours, I checked my paycheck. And it did not include those 10 hours.
However, I then saw that those hours weren't in my PTO. I asked my direct superior and she said that PTO hours were only given for accommodating an extra day (8 hours a week).
So yeah, 10 hours of labor with nothing to show for it. I'll be sure to remember this next time the owner comes by in his high spec Range Rover.
I intend to file a complaint with the proper government agencies tomorrow but any more advice is always welcomed.
Sorry for any poor grammar, I'm writing this on the shitter while on the job.
